Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after a late entry into the world of comedy, SKINNER is now one of comedy’s rising stars. Big as a man, and big in talent, SKINNER exhibits a sharp wit and precise delivery on stage that has made him a favorite in Pittsburgh and in eastern states comedy clubs.
Possessing a charismatic personality and the ability to tell a funny story, SKINNER has become “AMERICA’S MOST WANTED COMIC”! Drawing from his own life experiences, SKINNER presents to his audiences a style that is truly his own—its raw, and sometimes, just a little bit funky!
Over the years, SKINNER has performed his hilarious routines on many different stages, but in 2005, he did his first headliner show at the Pittsburgh IMPROV. By popular demand, in 2006, SKINNER made three headliner appearances at the IMPROV. As a testament to his comedic talents, SKINNER has shared the stage with some of the nation’s top comedians such as Tommy Davidson, Paul Mooney, David Alan Grier, Adele Givens, and many others. His comedic prowess has drawn praise from entertainment critics and his peers.
Gene Collier, a featured writer for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, observed. “SKINNER’s comedy makes me howl! His observations on relationships are dead-on. He’s got a straight-ahead style that is just a delight”. Comedian actor Bill Bellamy opined that SKINNER’s “a very funny guy with a bright future.” After watching SKINNER perform, comic star, D.L.
